Founded in 2007, our vision is to transform end-of-life care in the communities we serve. We believe that all hospice eligible patients and those that love them deserve the best care. Our mission is simple: we serve all patients and their loved ones the way they desire to be served.
It is our mission to serve all hospice eligible patients the way they desire to be served. This means we meet patients where they are and respect their desires, wishes and ways of life.
At Heart of Hospice, it is our vision to transform end-of-life care in the communities we serve.
We promote a culture that exceeds the expectations of our patients and families. Through practice, education and collaboration among team members, we are always working to become better today than we were yesterday.

Family-Owned since 1896
Arthur Manigault, a successful rice planter, formed the Evening Post Publishing Company in 1896 to acquire the Charleston Courier which began publication in 1803. Evening Post Industries (EPI) was born out of this beginning in newspaper publishing in Charleston, South Carolina.
Today, EPI owns a wide range of newspaper, interactive, real estate, forestry, and healthcare investments with an operating platform poised for diversification and an aggressive acquisition strategy. Through information, real estate development, and health and welfare, our focus is on companies that build community and continue the legacy of the Manigault family.
EPI purchased Heart of Hospice's original three locations in 2014 and has since continued to grow the brand into a multi-state hospice. Heart of Hospice furthers the vision of EPI’s growth while delivering world-class service to its patients and families.
